It’s hard to believe that nearly a month has already passed since the second edition of the Queering the Burbs zine was released into the world. To be honest, I wasn’t sure I’d make my self-assigned deadline to complete this version of the zine in time for Pride Month.
In the days leading up to my printing deadline, I was struggling to pull the last bits of the zine together as my mother-in-law’s health was increasingly failing. The zine was ultimately dedicated in her memory (you can read more about that here, in case you missed it) and I hope that she would have been proud of how it turned out.
I’m really personally proud of this collection of essays and I’m so grateful for all the support I’ve been shown, from folks showing up to my zine release events at the wonderful Hoof + Horn and New Moon Vegan, to those of you who have ordered copies online, as well as the folks who have been picking up copies at my local stockists.
